BHARATPUR: A cultural festival is to be organised on August 9 to mark the World Indigenous People’s Day. The festival is being organised by the Nepal Indigenous Communities Festival, District Coordination Council, Chitwan. Chairman of the organisation, Om Gauchan, said the festival will help send across the message of the indigenous people through their garbs and lifestyles. Tharu, Magar, Gurung, Thakali, Tamang, Dabai, Kumal, Majhi, Bote, Rai, Limbu, Dara, Chepang, Bhujel and Newar communities will present their cultures.
