Khadga Jatra in Kathmandu

Artists get ready in a traditional attire to observe the Khadga Jatra at Jaya Bageshwori of Kathmandu, on Sunday, August 21, 2016. Every year on this day, the ancient sword is displayed to the public. As part of the festival, a sword is worshipped and covered with bamboo as per the rituals and placed on a wooden palanquin which is then taken around the town in a procession. Photo: RSS
