KATHMANDU: Blue Bell Football Club, West Kathmandu and Mahadev Youth Club registered victories in the Naikap Gold Cup Football Tournament here on Sunday. Blue Bell FC of Badbhanjyang came from behind twice to defeat NRFFA of Sinamangal 5-3 in tie breaker after a 2-2 draw. Sunil Gautam and Manoj Budhathoki scored for NRFFA, while Bikash Pokhrel and Kishor Gurung netted one each for Blue Bell. Mukesh Rai of Blue Bell was named the man-of-the-match. In another match, West Kathmandu of Naikap registered a 2-1 victory over We Are Brothers of Thankot riding on a brace from man-of-the-match Abdulla. Karan Tamang scored for We Are Brothers. The third match of the day was also decided on penalties after a 1-1 draw with Mahadev Youth Club of Ramkot beating Baireni Youth Group of Dhading 4-3. Rohit Dahal put Mahadev ahead before Bipin Kandel levelled the scores in the second half to push the match to tie breaker. Rajesh Kunwar of Mahadev was named the man-of-the-match.
