KATHMANDU: Visiting United Nations Under Secretary General Prof Philippe Douste-Blazy paid a courtesy call on President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Monday. During the meeting, Prof Douste-Blazy discussed ways to strengthen the existing relations between UN and Nepal, informed the President's Office. French Ambassador to Nepal Yves Carmona and other high-level officials of Nepal were also present in the meeting. Douste-Blazy had also met Health Minister Gagan Thapa and sought Nepal’s support for his candidacy in the upcoming election for the Director General of World Health Organisation. READ ALSO:
