Truck plunges into Trishuli River, one missing

CHITWAN: A person reportedly went missing after a truck fell into the Trishuli River at Dharechowk VDC-4 in Chitwan on Sunday. The ill-fated truck (Na 5 Kha 5354) en route to Kathmandu from Birgunj ferrying rice veered out of control and plunged some 70 metres down into the River at 5 am today, informed the Chitwan District Police Office. Police rescued Ram Sharan Wagle (20) of Khayerghari in Dhading, who had sustained injuries from the incident. Police are yet to find out how many passengers were on board the truck at the time of the accident.
