'Miss inter-continental universe' to be held in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Contestants from 25 countries including the US, the UK and Russia among others are gathering in Kathmandu to vie for the title of 'Miss Inter-continent Universe'. Mayur Himalayan Private Limited is hosting the event that is taking place in the Capital from March 22 to April 1. Speaking at a press meet held on Wednesday to shed light on the international beauty pageant, Chairperson of Mayur Himalayan, Samikshya Shrestha, said the international event was being held in Nepal with the objective of promoting Nepal's costumes and cultures in the world. The winner, the first runner-up and the second runner-up in the event will win a cash prize of US dollar 5,000, 2,000 and 1,000 respectively.
