UML candidates elected mayor, deputy in Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolis

POKHARA: CPN-UML candidate Man Bahadur GC has been elected as the Mayor of Pokhara-Lekhnath Metropolitan City in Kaski district today, with 60,423 votes against his close contender Ramji Kunwar of Nepali Congress, who mustered 46,473 votes. Likewise, UML's Manju Gurung has been elected as the Deputy Mayor of the metropolis. In the deputy mayoral run, Gurung garnered 56,448 votes against NC candidate Saraswoti Gurung's 44, 338 votes. Of the total 33 wards in the Metropolis, UML has won in 22 wards so far while NC has achieved victory in the remaining wards.
