APF, NDA advance to semi-finals

Kathmandu, June 7 Nepal APF Club and New Diamond Academy advanced to the semi-finals of the KNP National Women’s Club Volleyball Championship here at  the National Sports Council covered hall today. APF defeated Western Regional Volleyball Association and Tribhuvan Army Club in straight sets and topped the Group A to make it to the last four. APF thrashed Western 25-19, 25-13, 25-13 in first match and returned to beat TAC 25-15, 25-12, 25-15. Western, who had defeated TAC on Tuesday, also advanced to the knock out stage as group runners-up. Similarly, NDA, who had thrashed Nepal Police Club on Tuesday, defeated Jawalakhel Volleyball Training Centre 25-7, 25-10, 25-6 and finished as Group B winners. NPC also recorded a 25-1, 25-12, 25-20 win against Jawalakhel and booked their place in the semis as group runners-up. Nepal APF will now face NPC, while Western will play against NDA in the semi-finals.
