KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh today paid tribute to the commander of 1990 democratic movement Ganeshman Singh on the occasion of his 20th memorial day in the Capital on Monday.

Marking the death anniversary of leader Singh, his son Prakash Man garlanded father's statue in Shobha Bhagawati today.

Leader Singh lauded the contributions made by late leader, who was also one of the founders of NC.

'The contributions made by Singh in the democratic movements is significant and cannot be expressed in words,' he said.

Furthermore, Prakash Man stated that one should rise above personal interest and keep the national interest above all.

On the occasion, NC Kathmandu Chapter President Sabuj Baniya commended Ganesh Man Singh as an exemplary leader and the political parties in the country could learn a lot from him.
