Kathmandu, March 14 Bangladeshi passengers injured in the US-Bangla plane crash and undergoing treatment in hospitals here have said they are eager to return to their country for further treatment. The US-Bangla Airlines has decided to take the passengers for treatment anywhere they wished. “We will take our patients to hospitals in Bangladesh and in countries abroad depending on their health conditions. The airlines company will bear all the cost of their treatment,” said Imran Asif, CEO of US-Bangla Airlines. “Currently, we are holding talks with patients, doctors and hospital management. If the patients are willing to go, then we will take them back on the recommendation of doctors here,” said Asif. “Staying away from home is difficult. I want to go home. Though my mother is here I want to go back home,” said Shworana, one of the Bangladeshi patient receiving treatment at Kathmandu Medical College and Teaching Hospital. Md Shahin, another Bangladeshi patient at KMCTH, said, “My condition is not that bad, neither is it good. But it will be good if I can return to my own country. We are preparing necessary documents to go back home,” he said. If the doctors certify that the patients are in stable condition, they will be flown back to their country. “If family members are willing to take the risk and bring necessary papers, we will have to send them back,” said Prakash Kumar Bhattarai, administrative manager at KMCTH.
