RAUTAHAT: A team of personnel from Armed Police Force recovered smuggled goods worth a million from the western Nepal-India border region in Rautahat on Sunday. According to APF, a routine patrol acted on a tip-off and intercepted three smugglers who were hauling footwear in three motorcycles with Indian registration near Bankul Bazaar at Baudhi Mai Rural Municipality. However, it has been learnt that the smugglers abandoned their motorcycles and were quick to flee to India. Later, the law enforcement officers handed over the illegal haul to customs office at Gaur for further legal proceedings.
