Gandaki government passes Forests and Watershed Management Policy

POKHARA: Today's meeting of the Council of Ministers of Gandaki Province endorsed the Forests and Watershed Management Policy.

The Policy focuses on protecting forests, maintaining environmental health and ways to minimise impact of natural disasters, said the government's spokesperson and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Development Ram Sharan Basnet informing of the meeting decisions.

The meeting also passed a report made by the committee to manage sewages released from community hospitals, he said. It was also decided to build 17 senior citizen service centers within the province in the current fiscal year of 2018/19.
