UML raps govt

KATHMANDU: Central members of the CPN-UML, during the party’s 12th central committee meeting on Friday charged the government with failing to deliver according to the expectations and spirit of the Jana Andolan, adding that it had failed to even provide adequate medical treatment to those injured in the 19-day agitation. The central body meeting will continue on Saturday, a statement issued by the party said. — HNS

King gets credentials

KATHMANDU: King Gyanendra on Friday received Letters of Credence from Ambassadors-designate of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Colombia, the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Maldives to Nepal at special functions held separately at the Narayanhity Royal Palace. — RSS
