MPs flay Maoists for code violation

Kathmandu, August 17:

Members of Parliament, at the special session of the House of Representatives, today came down heavily against the Maoist actions of abduction, extortion and intimidation.

They said these actions were gross violation of agreements reached between the seven-party alliance and the rebels and the ceasefire code of conduct. RPP chairman and MP Pashupati Shumsher Rana also criticised Maoists for not creating environment for the displaced people to return home.

MP Chitra Bahadur KC of Janamorcha Nepal also accused the Maoists for violating the agreements.
