Seen in the pictures are devotees offering prayers at Hanumante River in Bhaktapur on Sunday during the month-long Madhav Narayan festival.

Madhav Narayan Festival and Swasthani Bratha Katha stretch for a month and are observed in reverence to God Madhav Narayan and Goddess Swasthani.

During the celebration period of the festival, married women, in particular, pray for the long lives of their spouses.
