KATHMANDU: The UML-led government is all set to reshuffle the high level commission for land reform and management as per the agreement among the coalition partners. The Cabinet of Prachanda-led government had decided to form a commission under the leadership of Maoist politburo member Hari Bol Gajurel on 10 December 2008. The commission had just begun its work by establishing its regional offices when Prachanda’s government collapsed. Speaking to The Himalayan Times, Minister for Land Reform and Management Dambar Shrestha informed that he would reshuffle the commission after the consultations with the coalition partners. He said,” We are handling the Ministry for Land Reform so our party, the CPN-ML, should lead the commission.” However, the existing chairperson of the commission Gajurel has not resigned yet. Shrestha said, “He should resign on the moral ground following the change in the government.”
