Air Sahara resumes flights

Kathmandu, March 15:
Air Sahara, India’s fastest growing private airlines, has resumed its Delhi-Kathmandu-Delhi daily flight from today. The airline’s Boeing 737 aircraft carrying about 20 passengers landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) today, at 2.45pm and returned back to Delhi with more than 20 passengers at 4.00pm. The airlines had suspended its flights to Kathmandu from February 8.
Kathmandu is Air Sahara’s second international destination after Colombo, where the airline serves daily flights. According to Zenith Travels— the GSA of Air Sahara for Nepal — the airlines will operate flights to Singapore and Hong Kong besides the existing 23 destinations in India. According a press release, Air Sahara has a number of international awards to its, which includes WTM Global Award in 1997 for quality of service, PATA Award-1998 and 2002 for the ‘Best Domestic Airline’, Award of Merit 1999 for cuisine on demand service, and recent amongst them being PATA Gold Award in 2003 for innovative marketing schemes. And more recently it has been conferred with the Super Brand status in India.
