Property and vehicle taxes remain major sources
KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 18
The Bagmati Province Government has collected Rs 16.11 billion in revenue during the first five months of the current fiscal year 2082/83, accounting for 23.88 percent of the annual target.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Planning, Rs 8.84 billion was collected from property registration and vehicle taxes between Shrawan and Mangsir. The province has set a target of Rs 30.89 billion under these two headings for the fiscal year.
The province also collected Rs 2.95 billion from vehicle inspection, route permits, and driving licences, Rs 3.68 billion from VAT, and Rs 4.37 billion from excise duties.
