Teej festival starts
KATHMANDU: Minister for Industry Mahendra Roy Yadav will inaugurate the three-day Teej Festival on Friday at Baithak Party Palace, Tripureshwor. The three-day long festival — organised by WEAN Cooperative in a coordination with Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) — will last till August 9. — HNS
Goat rearing succeeds
TANAHUN: Pappu Baniya, a resident of Saldanda Camindanda VDC-2, has proved that goat-rearing can be a dependable source of income. He started Baniya Eco-Farm with 60 goats and gradually expanded his farm. Baniya invested Rs 1.1 million in the farm that is spread over 14 ropanis where he also planted different improved varieties of fodder grass. His monthly earning is rs 35,000 on an average. He has earned Rs 3,00,000 in ten months and hopes that his income will increase in the coming months. — RSS
Udhyam posts profits
KATHMANDU: Udhyam Bikas Bank Ltd has registered an operating profit of Rs 19.4 million. According to a press release, total deposit collection of the bank is Rs 102.4 million. The bank is also planning to distribute its share soon. — HNS
