Net censorship in China

BEIJING: China said on Tuesday it will toughen its already rigid censorship of the Internet during its annual parliamentary session to keep at bay those with ‘ulterior motives’. There would be strict 24-hour monitoring of Internet chat rooms and forums of major Chinese portals. — AFP

German growth at 1pc

FRANKFURT: The German economy, the biggest in the 12-country eurozone, will not grow by more than one per cent this year. The Five Wise Men had forecast growth of 1.4 per cent this year. — AFP
