NIC Foundation aid

KATHMANDU: NIC Foundation has contributed Rs 51,101 for the Jajarkot diarrhoea epidemic victims. NIC Foundation is an independent organization promoted by NIC Bank for carrying out Corporate Social Responsibilities. The foundation is active in several charities. It has contributed to donating an ambulance each to Marwardi Sewa Sadan of Lahan and Mid-Western Regional Hospital of Surkhet through NIC Bank and given scholarships to 40 students across the country, aside from many philanthropic activities. — HNS

Sindhuli bandh

SINDHULI: Sindhuli Chamber of Commerce has announced indefinite Sindhuli bandh from Sunday, accusing the local administration of failing to provide security. The chamber has called the strike to protest the administration staying a mute spectator when hooligans misbehaved with local traders and residents on Saturday and enforced a market bandh. — RSS
