EIC pays Laxmi Bank
KATHMANDU: Everest Insurance Company (EIC) has paid Rs 54,30,070 to Laxmi Bank Damak branch that was looted of Rs 78,90,000 on May 4. The police recovered Rs 24,56,525 from the looters and the insurance company has paid the remaining amount as it had insured the bank under ‘Bankers’ Blanket Insurance’, states a press release. — HNS

HETAUDA: Villagers of Betani, an eastern Makwanpur VDC, have generated electricity through peltric set (combination of a Pelton wheel and an electric generator). Locals of wards 2 and 7 in the VDC are generating 1.8 KW of power from Tunitar River through peltric wheel. — RSS
