Thai Airways flight

KATHMANDU: Thai Airways that could not operate due to protests in the Thai capital and airport in Bangkok is flying to Kathmandu on Friday. A Thai Airways plane will land at 1.15 pm at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), said the Thai Airways office here. Inbound and outbound Nepalis as well as foreign tourists were stranded at Bangkok airport due to the protestors who had besieged the airport. — HNS

LBL’s 8th AGM ends

KATHMANDU: Laxmi Bank Ltd (LBL) ended its 8th annual general meeting (AGM) at Birgunj on Wednesday. According to a press statement, the bank’s operating profit increased by more than 80 per cent as compared to the previous year. The AGM approved bonus shares issue of 20 per cent and rights share issue of 40 per cent after the bonus shares which will increase the paid up capital of the bank to around Rs 1.53 billion. — HNS
