Citizens’ lists shares

KATHMANDU: Citizens Bank International has listed its 10-million-unit shares at Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse). Nepse MD Shanker Man Singh and Citizens’ Bank acting CEO Ganesh Raj Pokharel on Wednesday signed an agreement for listing Rs 1 billion worth 10-million-units of the bank’s shares. Ace Development Bank is the issue manager of Citizens’ share floated from February 8. Nepse now has a total of 21 commercial banks listed, making it a total of 158 companies listed. The bank has 71,820 shareholders including 70 founder-shareholders. As per nine months’ data, Citizens’ posted an operating profit of Rs 102.5 million. — HNS


Trade declaration

KATHMANDU: The 23rd Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce & Industries meet ended in Japan with the Yokohama Declaration. Yokohama Chamber of Commerce & Industries in association with Japan Chambers of Commerce and Industries organised the meeting to promote the Council of Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industries and develop the Asia Pacific Youth Industrial Council and Female Industrialist Group to increase trade in Japan. Thirteen members of Nepal Bar Association also participated in the conference. On the occasion, FNCCI’s Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar said ADB should float special investment plans in developing nations. — HNS
