Aussie Edu fair ends
KATHMANDU: A three-day-long Grand Australian Education Exhibition organised by Kathmandu Alfa Beta Institute completed here on Saturday. After the great response from students and parents Alfa Beta’s Grand Australian Education Exhibition has been extended for one more day till Saturday. It provided every necessary information for students for further study in Australia, states a press release. The exhibition has brought together students and Australian institutes in one place. — HNS
Sauraha hotels reopen
KATHMANDU: A five-point agreement has been reached to reopen few hotels in Sauraha that were closed for the last two weeks due to dispute over service charge. The union agreed to open the hotels, lodges, Safaris and Machhans after a discussion between hoteliers and union. A three-member panel led by assistant secretary at the ministry Rajiv Gautam has been formed to make arrangements for the implementation of 10 per cent service charge provision. — RSS
Customs halted
BIRATNAGAR: Relatives — of a person abducted by a gang — and locals on Thursday disrupted Biratnagar customs accusing authorities for not doing anything to free the abductee. They staged sit-in at the customs points saying that the administration paid no heed to free Santosh Karki of Biratnagar-22 evenafter two weeks of his abduction. They also halted work at Raghupati Jute Mills. — RSS
