KATHMANDU: Chandra Prakash (CP) Khetan — director of Laxmi Bank Ltd — has been appointed Honorary Consul General of Turkey. “He has been appointed Honorary Consul General of Turkey after his father Mohan Gopal Khetan’s demise almost ten months ago,” states a press release. Fake notes seized
DHANDING: Sixteen fake notes have been found in Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB), Besi branch of Dhading district. The bank said a dozen notes of Rs 1,000 denomination, three notes of Rs 500 denomination and remaining one note of Rs 100 denomination were were fake. The notes were brought by various organisations to deposit in the bank. — RSS
RBB sets up CSR fund
KATHMANDU: Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) has established a Rs 5,00,000 fund for the treatment of diarrhea in remote rural areas of Far-West. RBB, a fully government-owned commercial bank, has been posting a good profit lately. “As its corporate social responsibility (CSR), the bank will provide more funds from the profit each year,” states the bank, that has been providing scholarships, holding national level sports events and assisting sportsmen as well. — RSS
