Brand watch: LG unveils two new mobile phone sets

Kathmandu, June 19:

Chaudhary Group, the authorised distributor of LG Electronics for Nepal, has introduced two new models of LG GSM mobile phones — U8500 and KG 210 in the market.

Compatible with the latest 3G technology, U-8500 is priced at Rs 14,500. This 18.2-mm high-end multimedia handset has a 1.3 mega-pixel rotating camera and is capable of high speed Internet, audio-video streaming and video telephony.

This phone has 75 MB internal memory and comes with a free 512 MB micro SD memory card. Bluetooth connectivity, USB connection, and inbuilt music player capable of playing different formats of music with 3D surround sound are representative feature of the U-8500 model, states a press release.

Folding sleek colour phone KG-210 is a low-end solution having 65k colour resolution, 128x128 screen, and a tri-band GPRS compatible phone, which can be used to send multi-media messages as well, claims the company. The phone is priced at Rs 6000 comes with 40 polyphonic ring tones.

Moreover, the company has announced that buyers of these phones are eligible to receive NTC’s recharge card worth Rs 200 as a part of ‘LG Bonus Scheme’ that has been going on in the market for the last few months.

As other LG GSM handsets, U-8500 and KG-210 is also covered by a year’s warranty and buyers are also given a LG Bonus Card — a value addition that extends the warranty by another year for a second purchase of any other LG product.
