KATHMANDU: The ninth regional final of Real School of Nepal (RSoN) 2017 ended for Central Region-Birgunj on Friday.

The regional champion for the Central Region-Birgunj was GHP Secondary School and the participating students were Anjali Dube, Reshma Sharma, Jejus Shakya, Chandan Gupta, Yogesh Chaudhary and Ayub Miya, as per a media release.

They will participate in the grand finale to become the Real School of Nepal 2017 in Kathmandu. The winners in the senior category included Anjali Dubey from GHP Secondary School for ‘Extempore’, Anishika Basnet from Moonlight English Boarding School for ‘Dance’ and Carlos Patel from Gautam Secondary School for ‘Football Juggling’.

In the junior category, Yogesh Chaudhary from GHP Secondary School bagged the prize for ‘Painting’, Rupak Chhetri from Gautam Secondary School for ‘3 Minutes to Fame’ and Ayub Miya from GHP Secondary School for ‘Score the Real Goal’. Scholarships of Rs 25,000 were given to two needy and talented students — Nasir Hussen and Kabita Tamang. The 10th regional final will be held in Far Western Region- Dhangadi on August 1.
