Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has launched an Industrial Environment and Energy Promotion Programme (IEEP) to provide environment-friendly productivity tools for the industries.

Kush Kumar Joshi, second vice-president of the FNCCI, said that IEEP is the permanent cell at the FNCCI secretariat, which provides consultancy and advisory services on energy and environment management. “FNCCI aims to help the Nepali industries and businesses become globally competitive through efficient use and management of environment friendly productivity tools in a sustainable manner,” he said. Joshi further added that IEEP would function as an inbuilt programme in developing productivity improvement tools.

Birat Thapa, chairperson of the Environment and Energy Management Committee, FNCCI, said that it would support the technical services on energy audit, cleaner production, ISO, 5S and similar others.
