Gionee’s new handset
KATHMANDU: Gionee will soon be launching the Marathon M5 Plus in Nepal, the latest addition to its big-battery Marathon series. The M5 Plus boasts a six-inch FHD Amoled screen in a full metallic, ultra-slim body, as per a statement issued on Thursday. The phone has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz Octa-core processor. The major highlight of the phone is that it is powered by a 5020mAh battery which is twice the capacity of average phone batteries with dual charging chips that support fast charging. Another distinctive feature of the M5 Plus is it has 3GB RAM and 64GB ROM and latest USB Type C port. It is equipped with a finger print scanner for maximum security. As for OS, the M5 Plus runs on Amigo 3.1, Gionee’s own software based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. M5 Plus is also able to charge other devices simultaneously through reverse-OTG charging. It will be available in ‘champagne golden’ colour.
