KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 16

Gold price continued its upward trajectory on Monday, increasing by Rs 500 per tola, setting a new record in the domestic market.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA), fine gold is now being traded at Rs 157,300 per tola, up from Rs 156,800 per tola on Sunday.

This follows another Rs 500 increase on Sunday, and a dramatic Rs 3,000 surge on Friday, which ignited the recent momentum in the gold market.

The surge in gold prices comes amid speculation that the U.S. Federal Reserve may lower interest rates, driving demand for gold globally.

Silver also followed suit, with its price increasing by Rs 15 per tola on Monday. Silver is now being traded at Rs 1,915 per tola, up from Rs 1,900 per tola on Sunday.
