KATHMANDU, JULY 21

The gold price, which had reached an unprecedented height of nearly Rs 150,000 per tola recently, continued its downward trajectory in the domestic market, declining by Rs 1,300 per tola on Sunday.

The yellow metal set a new record on July 17, reaching Rs 149,800 per tola. However, it could not sustain its momentum and has since been slowly declining. It is now being traded at Rs 146,200 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association. The fine gold was being traded at Rs 147,500 per tola on Friday.

Similarly, Tejabi gold is being traded at Rs 145,500 per tola, compared to Rs 146,800 per tola on Friday.

The silver price in the Nepali market has been following the trend in the gold price recently, dropping by Rs 20 per tola, on Sunday. It is being traded at Rs 1,810 per tola today, down from Rs 1,830 per tola on Friday.
