KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 18

The price of gold continued its downward trend in the domestic market on Wednesday, dropping by Rs 1,500 per tola.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is being traded at Rs 300,400 per tola today, down from Rs 301,900 per tola on Tuesday.

The yellow metal has remained on a declining trajectory throughout the week. Gold, which was priced at Rs 305,800 per tola on Sunday, has fallen to Rs 300,400 per tola on Wednesday, marking a total decline of Rs 5,400 per tola over four days.

Meanwhile, the price of silver also decreased by Rs 5 per tola on Wednesday. Silver is being traded at Rs 4,880 per tola today, down from Rs 4,885 per tola on Tuesday, according to the Federation.
