Fine gold jumps Rs 1,800 per tola; silver also reaches a fresh high

Gold price surged to a new all-time high in the domestic market on Friday, rising by Rs 1,800 per tola to reach Rs 269,300 per tola.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold was traded at Rs 267,500 per tola on Thursday. The price had earlier touched Rs 268,100 per tola on Wednesday, before slipping briefly on Thursday and rebounding strongly on Friday.
Silver price also recorded a sharp increase on Friday. The precious metal rose by Rs 165 per tola in a single day to reach a new record of Rs 4,565 per tola, up from Rs 4,400 per tola on Thursday, the Federation said.
