KATHMANDU, MAY 10

The local gold market experienced a remarkable surge on Friday, with gold prices climbing by Rs 2,300 per tola.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is currently trading at Rs 137,900 per tola, marking a significant increase from Thursday's rate of Rs 135,600 per tola.

Similarly, Tejabi gold is now being traded at Rs 137,250 per tola compared to Thursday's rate of Rs 134,950 per tola.

In tandem, the silver market saw a substantial rise in prices on Friday, with silver increasing by Rs 50 per tola to reach Rs 1,735 per tola. On Thursday, the silver rate stood at Rs 1,685 per tola in the Nepali market.
