Gold price surges, silver remains stable

Gold price increased by Rs 800 per tola and silver price remained stable over the week, from September 22 to 25.
Gold price has increased for the second consecutive week. The price of the precious yellow metal was not reviewed in the domestic market on Sunday and Monday due to a public holiday for constitution promulgation and celebration.
Hence, the market opened on Tuesday with gold price fixed at Rs 50,200 per tola and remained unchanged the next day, Wednesday. Bullion price increased by Rs 400 per tola on Thursday to be fixed at Rs 50,600 a tola. The price of the precious yellow metal went up by another Rs 400 a tola on Friday to settle the week’s trading at Rs 51,000 per tola.
Likewise, the price of silver remained stable during the four trading days of the week. Silver was traded at Rs 700 per tola on Tuesday. The price of the white metal plunged by Rs 10 a tola on Wednesday to be traded at Rs 690 per tola and remained the same on Thursday.
The price of silver, however, went up by Rs 10 per tola to settle at Rs 700 a tola on Friday.
