Gorkha Beer enters European market

Kathmandu, April 14:

Gorkha Beer — the authentic Himalayan brew and the flagship brand of Gorkha Brewery Pvt Ltd Nepal — has entered the European market.

The Nepali beer has now been exported to Belgium. Pradhan Brothers SPRL of Brussels is the importer of Gorkha Beer for Belgium. Pradhan Brothers SPRL with its network also distributes Gorkha Beer to neighbouring countries like France, Germany and Netherlands, states a company press release.

Gorkha Brewery has already started exporting Gorkha Beer to Japan, Hong Kong and more recently to Macau.

It was launched in selected premium outlets of Kathmandu and other main cities of Nepal in 2006.

The objective of launching Gorkha Beer was to cater tourists visiting Nepal and meet their expectation of a high quality premium local beer. It was also for export to countries where consumers look for something premium, authentic and exotic.

The demand for specialty beers in various advanced countries of Asia, US and Europe are increasing and the crisp taste of Gorkha Beer has been greatly appreciated by beer lovers of the countries where it has been exported, claims the company.

Gorkha Beer is brewed in Nepal with the finest hops, pure water and barley malt. With an alcohol content of 5.5 per cent, it has been appreciated by tourists, expatriates and the discerning Nepali beer lovers.
