Government expense increases
KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has sanctioned Rs 50.93 billion until January 14 of the current fiscal year 2006-07, the finance ministry said. Of the total sanctions, Rs 36,89 billion was under current expenditure and Rs 8.65 billion in capital, and Rs 5.37 billion for principal repayment. This is an increase of 10.9 per cent as compared to the same period in the last fiscal. In the same period, total expenditure was Rs 42.65 billion, stated a press release issued by the finance ministry on Friday.
