Haryana CM keen for joint venture

Indian chief minister of Haryana state Om Prakash Chautala has highlighted the possibility of joint ventures in areas of hydropower, food processing, information technology, tourism and medicinal plants.

Chautala, who arrived here on Friday, also sought cooperation of entrepreneurs and investors of Nepal in these areas, according to a press release issued by Public Relations Department, Haryana.

He was speaking at a civic reception hosted in his honour by Agarwal Sewa Kendra, Marwari Sewa Samiti and Nepal National Marwari Council in Kathmandu.

Speaking on the occasion, he lauded the members of Marwari community for the significant contribution being made by them for the development of the society. The visiting Indian chief minister also hoped to strengthen the friendly ties between Nepal and India by undertaking joint ventures in various areas of development.

Speaking on the occasion Inder Prakash Singh, Indian ambassador to Nepal, commended the role of the people of Haryana in the Indian freedom struggle.
