KATHMANDU: Himalayan Bank Ltd (HBL), one of the leading commercial banks in Nepal, and Tranglo Sendirian Berhad, Asia’s leading money transfer operator, have signed partnership to offer inward remittance service to Nepal. This will benefit at least 2.2 million Nepalis working abroad as customers will now have more options than ever for sending funds home to friends and family in Nepal, as per a media release issued on Monday. This partnership represents Tranglo’s maiden foray in Nepal’s remittance market. Ashoke SJB Rana, CEO of HBL, and Sia Hui Yong, CEO of Tranglo, signed the pact.
