Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality has issued a statement urging visitors to the Khumbu region to receive both doses of vaccine against the coronavirus and those who have not been fully vaccinated will have to present a negative PCR report for entry.

The statement further says that all domestic and international tourists travelling through the roadway will be required to undergo antigen tests at Kharikhola Community Health Centre in Khumbu Pasanglhamu RM-1 and Chaurikharka Health Post in Khumbu Pasanglhamu RM-3.

In case of positive test results, the person must expend on their own for the isolation facility provided by the municipality.

As per the statement, 98 per cent of the rural municipality residents above the age of 18 have been fully vaccinated.
