Nepal promoted at Vakantiebeurs tourism fair

Kathmandu, January 17:

A group of Nepali tourism entrepreneurs along with Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) participated in the Vakantiebeurs Tourism Fair 2007 from January 9 to 14.

Held annually at the cultural city of Utrecht, the Netherlands, Vakantiebeurs is one of the largest consumer focused travel trade exhibitions in the entire BENELUX region with more

than 1.4 hundred thousand visitors to it. With growing peace

and stability witnessed in Nepal, the country stand at the fair received various overwhelming queries regarding Nepal’s changed political context and the state of tourism activities.

To project the varied image of Nepal in a distinctive way, Nepal’s participation in the fair was focused on the theme of the new tourism brand ‘Unleash Yourself....Naturally Nepal. Once is not enough’, states a press release issued by NTB today.

Various tourism promotional collaterals focusing on the core competence themes, unleashed by new branding concept, was distributed to visitors to the Nepal stand in the fair.

A special presentation on Nepal’s new brand together with its various tourism attractions was made on January 13.

Angela B Colley, secretary of state for Tourism and Culture of the Republic of Gambia, made an exclusive visit to Nepal stand on the same day.

Five private sector travel trade companies namely Eco Trek, Last Frontier Trekking, Village Travel, Nature Trail Trekking and Royal Mt Trekking participated in the fair.
