KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 8

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the sole secondary market of the country, plunged 53.10 points to reach 2,455.81 points, indicating a 2.12 per cent drop on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the market saw a meager daily turnover of Rs 2.663 billion for a total of 6,560,947 units of shares traded of altogether 226 companies.

The sensitive index fell to 464.79 points in today's market, a decline of 9.34 points or 1.97 percent. Similarly, the float index fell 3.89 points, or 2.26 percent, to 168.64 points.

In today's market, all sub-indices bled red, with the life insurance index leading the way with a decline of 294.44 points, followed by non-life insurance with a drop of 235.69 points.

At the end of the day, market capitalisation stood at Rs 3.452 trillion
