KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 24

The sole secondary market of the country on Sunday gained life with Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increasing by 27.51 points.

Similarly, the sensitive index and float index also rose with the sensitive index closing at 490.97 points, denoting a 7.52 point or a 1.56 per cent increase. Meanwhile, the float index closed at 180.62 points registering a 1.65-point or a 0.92 per cent rise.

All the sub-indices also were in the green today except for the trading index which was 32.47 points down. The Manufacturing and Processing index led the pack of gainers with 105.54 point increase.

A total of 5,818,025 unit shares of altogether 225 companies were traded at Rs 2.773 billion in the market today.

After the share transaction, market capitalisation stood at Rs 3.618 trillion.

In today's market,150 scrips advanced while 31 scrips declined and six remained unchanged.
