KATHMANDU, JULY 1
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 28.91 points, or 1.09%, on Tuesday, closing at 2,660.39 points as the market maintained a broadly positive trend throughout the trading session.
All sectors closed in the green except for Manufacturing and Processing, which dipped by 0.07%, and Trading, which declined by 0.61%.
The Investment sector led the day's gains with a 2.38% rise, followed by Microfinance (2.22%), Hydropower (1.38%), Life Insurance (1.12%), Banking (1.09%), Non-life Insurance (1.05%), and Development Banks (1.21%).
The Sensitive Index, tracking Class 'A' companies, climbed by 1.37%, while the Float Index, representing actively traded shares, increased by 1.31%.
Total turnover stood at Rs 7.03 billion, with 15,764,001 shares of 309 companies traded across 70,214 transactions.
Out of the traded stocks, 217 advanced while 31 declined.
At market close, total market capitalization reached Rs 4.432 trillion.
