KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 11
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central bank of Nepal, has approved a partnership between RightCard Payment Services Limited (LemFi) and eSewa Money Transfer to facilitate international remittance services into Nepal.
Under this collaboration, LemFi, a global financial technology company, will provide low-cost and reliable international money transfer services for Nepali residents living in North America and Europe, including the United Kingdom, enabling them to send funds to Nepal as well as other countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Europe.
The partnership aims to enhance convenience, trust, and accessibility in the remittance sector, a key pillar of Nepal's economy, while adhering to the Central Bank's regulatory framework, according to the press statment issued by the LemFi.
"We are honoured that our partnership to better serve the Nepalese diaspora has received this approval," said Muhammad Daiyaan Alam, LemFi's Head of South Asia Expansion and Growth. "Nepal represents one of the most important remittance corridors in South Asia, and we are committed to providing accessible and fair financial services for our customers and their beneficiaries."
The collaboration will enable senders to enjoy competitive exchange rates and secure transfers through eSewa Money Transfer's extensive payout network in Nepal. The approval also reinforces LemFi's compliance with NRB's regulatory standards, ensuring greater reliability for users, the company stated.
With a user base of over two million customers across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Canada, LemFi continues to expand its presence through strategic partnerships and technological innovation. The company said it remains focused on delivering affordable, transparent, and tech-driven financial services that empower immigrant communities worldwide.
