NTB’s sales mission in US for promoting Nepali tourism
Kathmandu, June 30:
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), the tourism flagship of the country, organised a sales mission in key cities of the US from June 20-27.
The NTB delegation interacted with the US media, travel agencies and tour operators in key cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Washington DC and New York.
The Nepali team — led by NTB CEO Prachanda Man Shrestha and supported by the Nepali embassy in Washington DC and the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the UN in New York included officials of five private sector tourism companies.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Suresh Raj Chalise, Nepal’s ambassador to the US and Madhu Raman Acharya, ambassador of the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the UN, stressed that security was no longer an issue in Nepal. They emphasised the key role of tourism in Nepal.
