Police have raided two factories manufacturing fake Goldstar brand sports shoes in Kathmandu yestreday. An investigation team of Crime Investigation Department at Police Headquarters raided Smart Footwear Pvt Ltd at Jorpati, Kathmandu and A C Footwear Pvt Ltd at Harisiddhi, Lalitpur and confiscated fake shoe manufacturing devices and products. Police have also confiscated 15 shoe manufacturing machines, sole plate with Goldstar trademark and dozens of finished products. The investigation team of the police has also confiscated a side trim device and fake Goldstar shoes from A C Footwear. Goldstar is one of the leading sports shoe brand in Nepal with its trademark registered by Kiran Shoes Manufacturers at the department of industry. Kiran Shoes Manufacturers has urged customers not to use grey products.
