KATHMANDU: Samsung's flagship CSR programme Samsung Innovation Campus concluded the Coding and Programming course for its first batch of students from the Pulchowk Campus of Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering.
Under the programme, the next batch of students will now start the artificial intelligence course at the university, as per a press statement.
Students were given their certificates of completion at a ceremony attended by State Minister of Education Pramila Kumari, Sung June Park, head of Nepal Office for Samsung Southwest Asia, and Professor and Dean of Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering Shashidhar Ram Joshi.
Samsung inaugurated its global CSR programme Samsung Innovation Campus at the Pulchowk Campus of Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering in December 2022. Under the programme, Samsung will train youth in Nepal on future tech skills such as artificial intelligence, internet of things, big data and coding and programming, contributing to development of a strong technology and innovation ecosystem in Nepal.
The prerequisites to be selected for courses include knowledge of algorithms, data structures and programming.
