Kathmandu, June 23:

Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) and Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) organised an interaction on ‘Send Home A Friend’ (SHAF) at Nepali embassy in Tokyo recently.

The gathering included prominent personalities from representatives of Non-Resident Nepalis’ International Coordination Committee, NRN/Japan Chapter, Nepali Society, NCP (UML)/Japan, Loktantrik Samaj Japan and NRN’s International Task Force for Tourism Promotion, states a press release.

Nepali ambassador to Japan Ganesh Yonjan urged the Nepali community in Japan to aid Nepali tourism by sending their friends to Nepal. He also asked them to disseminate positive information about Nepal, the release states.

The programme was launched by the government to be implemented by MoCTCA and NTB, in partnership with the growing Nepali Diaspora. It is aimed at boosting Nepal’s tourism industry.
